An overlay of linear sweep voltammograms for the anodic oxidation of gold in iodide and the cathodic reduction of iodine species on gold provides an effective method for examining the dissolution of gold in iodideftodine solution. The dissolution rates obtained from both electrochemical and actual leaching results are compared.

The effects of different parameters such as stirring speed, leaching temperature, iodine concentration and iodide concentration on the gold leaching dynamics were investigated.
